“Someone has to do the job. It is my duty and I am proud to serve my nation this way, even if I have to sacrifice public holidays. I feel recognition for our job is secondary compared to the tasks we have to carry out day-in, day-out.”
49-year-old Technical Officer Mr Abdul Razak Abu Amin strikes many as a jovial figure, but when it comes to work, he’s all of a hundred per cent committed. To him, he believes that every worker has to do his or her part to help the power and gas industry progress. Similarly, he believes that objectives set must be met in order to keep the power plant running 24/7, as failing to do so would have detrimental effects on Singapore.
