“In this company, we have Indians, Chinese and Malays. Everyone has their own holidays and festivities to celebrate. As a Christian, I will take my leave during Christmas and colleagues from other religions and races will cover me. So during Lunar New Year, I don’t mind doing the same for them.”
Originally from India, 29-year-old Mr Aneesh Ambooken has called Singapore home for more than 10 years. He studied in a local polytechnic and has spent all his professional life here. Mr Aneesh has learnt in his time in Singapore that to live harmoniously in a multi-racial society, people from all walks of life must come together in solidarity and support each other. Currently Deputy Team Leader at Senoko Energy, he is more than ready to cover his colleagues during their holidays and festivities.
